BAR PHOTOS

Taking photos in a bar can be a fun and unique way to capture relaxed and cute moments, and St. Augustine does have a few bars that typically allow photo sessions (most of the time). However, there are a few things to keep in mind to make the experience enjoyable and stress-free.

Since these photos are taken during the bar’s open hours, there will be other patrons present, and it’s likely some people may notice and look at you. This can feel a little awkward at first, so we highly recommend sharing your ideas for these photos with your fiancé beforehand. That way, he knows what kind of vibe you’re going for, and you both feel more comfortable and natural during the session.

To make the photos feel authentic and fun, try interacting with each other—flirt, laugh, and pretend you’re on a date. Ordering a drink can also help set the mood and give you something to do with your hands while adding a fun prop to the photos.

Keep in mind that employees may ask us to leave at any time, especially if the bar gets busy or if they feel the session is disruptive. We always strive to be respectful of the space, employees, and other patrons.

We absolutely love these sessions and can’t wait for yours! Below are some photos we’ve taken to give you a glimpse of how romantic they can be.

ICE PLANT

Ice Plant is a stylish and modern bar and restaurant located in St. Augustine. While it does require a short drive, the good news is that they have their own parking lot! Since it’s a popular local favorite and tends to get busy in the evenings, we recommend starting your session here a little earlier in the day. This way, we can capture your photos before the evening crowds pick up.

Forgotten Tonic

Forgotten Tonic is another great option for bar photos in St. Augustine! This cozy bar is conveniently located right off Aviles Street, making it super easy to get to. It offers a variety of photo opportunities, from classic bar shots to intimate booth setups.

However, since the space is smaller and tends to get busy, it can be a bit challenging to work around other guests and patrons if it’s crowded. With a little flexibility, though, we can still capture some amazing shots that highlight the charm of this unique spot!
