Dmitry + Beatriz met in highschool, in Palm Coast, Florida. He was taken by her sweet personality and she could see behind his playful personality, that he was a very kind and generous person. However, they were both so shy, that neither one of them dare to share their feelings with the other. High school ended and they went their separate ways to college. Dima went to Daytona and Beatriz to Miami. Every once in a while they would call each other, but it seemed that it was never a good time to talk and they never discussed their mutual feelings for one another.

SIX long years passed before they saw each other again. Beatriz found out that Dima was working in New York and she knew she would be placed in the same city for her clinical rotations. So, Beatriz decided to make the first move - she reached out to him with the hopes of restarting their friendship. During the time leading up to her big move to the big apple, they talked on the phone every day for hours. She began to remember those feelings she had when they first met. Dima on the other hand could not wait to see the girl he fell in love with. He went to pick her up at the airport and it was as if time had not gone by. She knew at that moment that he was the one. A year and a half later, Dima proposed in Coney Island Beach. They have been inseparable ever since.

We had the pleasure of meeting sweet Beatriz & Dima in NYC. We really wanted to capture their love in the city they reconnected in. We did their engagement session all over the city, including the very boardwalk on which Dima proposed. (click here to see their big city engagement session,)

The wedding day was finally approaching. The wedding was in Palm Coast, which meant Beatriz was planning a wedding without physically being there to meet with vendors and see all of the details come together, including having a final fitting of her dress (she had it mailed to Florida) .

Let me tell you guys, she did a FLAWLESS job at planning her wedding and she did it was such grace and poise.

Just like their engagement shoot, their wedding day had a 100% chance of rain forecast. I don't even know if you would believe me when I say, but it ONLY rained during the ceremony!!! The WHOLE duration of the ceremony it was POURING, But as soon as the ceremony was over, the rain stopped, the weather was cooler and we were all smiles! God is so good!!

And now August 16, 2017 is forever a part of their history.

We consider ourselves lucky to have met Dima & Beatriz and all of their family. They have become really great friends to us and we cant wait to watch our friendship grow... as well as their family =)! Beatriz, can't wait to have the honor of taking your maternity pictures, whenever that may be! We miss you guys already and you two are ALWAYS welcome to come visit!!
