THE BARN AT LONE OAKS WEDDING | BRANDI + MATT | PARRISH, FLORIDA

Happy Fall, friends! We had the honor of starting off our fall season with a beautiful wedding at The Barn at Lone Oakes in Parrish, Florida. Brandi and Matt were surrounded by all their closest friends and family as they all witnessed Brandi FINALLY become a “Fergie” (Ferguson) #finallyfergie.

Brandi and Matt have been together for 9 years and have raised two beautiful daughters, Leann and Laina. Both of their girls got to celebrate their parents on their day and it was the absolute cutest! You just gotta see, Leann totally matched her mama with a robe and converses (YES, Brandi is THAT cool that she rocked white converses on her wedding day).

Brandi and Matt couldnt have picked a better place to get married. The ceremony location was absolutely serene. It was like no other ceremony location in Florida I have ever seen. It was like a secret forest with tall pine tress all around and I just loved how the sun was peeking through during the entire ceremony, it was absolutely gorgeous.

What some guests may not know is that even though Brandi + Matt had vows at their ceremony, they chose to do personal vows, privately. These vows had so much heart and emotion in them, I could barely keep it together. Both Brandi and Matt expressed how life didn’t happen as they thought it would. That life sometimes happens “out of order” but everything happens for a reason. And regardless of all that life threw at Brandi and Matt, they made their marriage a priority. I truly believe that everything that happened has brought them to that very moment, the moment they promised their lives to each other.

I asked Brandi what her favorite part of the wedding day was (I like to ask this because everyone has a different answer) and her answer actually surprised me! ”Honestly, for me, it was when we were taking pictures, as crazy as that sounds. Only because for that bit of time, it was just him and I, away from the crowd. We were able to just take a step back and laugh with one another”

OMG!! How awesome is that?!? It’s true though, in the 8-10 hours of your wedding day, there is almost no time to be alone! I’m glad we were able to create moments for them to remember and enjoy while we took their portraits.

But my favorite part of their day was watching your first dance be, every so sweetly, interrupted by your daughter and how you both reached for her hand to let her join you. Now thats’s family. That’s real life. I loved seeing Matt swaying back and forth with his girls in his arms. In that moment, NOTHING else mattered. You looked so happy and grateful.

Brandi + Matt, you two are such a sweet + caring couple and we are blessed to have met you. We loved getting to know your friends and family. Thank you for trusting us with your wedding photography and we hope these pictures have memories attached to them for you. That when you look at a photo, it reminds you of that very moment and what was said/how you felt. We miss you already!
