STEPHANIE + COREY| MAGNOLIA AVE MARKLAND HOUSE | ST. AUGUSTINE ENGAGEMENT SESSION
Hi friends! Let me tell you a fascinating story about how Corey and Stephanie's paths crossed in the most unexpected way. So, back in high school, they technically rode the same school bus but lived in completely different neighborhoods. Funny enough, despite this, destiny had other plans and it took several years for their worlds to collide!
Fast forward to April, 2019, Stephanie attended this awesome event called 'Taste of Tampa Bay.' Little did she know, Corey was there too, working at a table for Escape Brewing. When Stephanie strolled by, curious for a taste, Corey's eyes immediately locked onto her familiar face.
Stephanie's friends convinced her to go back and chat more with Corey at his table. And guess what? Corey seized the opportunity and asked for Stephanie's number. Smooth move, Corey!
But here's the twist: despite the initial connection, time flew by, and they didn't actually go out. It wasn't until they found each other on several online dating platforms that they decided to give it a shot. And voilà, here we are, witnessing the magical story of how chance encounters and a bit of online serendipity brought Corey and Stephanie together. Who would've thought that a school bus connection and a chance meeting at a local event would lead to a relationship? Life works in mysterious ways!
We had the pleasure of meeting Stephanie at her sisters wedding a few years ago. When Stephanie reached out to us letting us know it was now her time, we were ecstatic! We couldnt wait to see her again and properly meet Corey.
Even though they live in Tampa, Stephanie + Corey decided to do their engagement session in historic St. Augustine! We were so excited to show them around and just like that our excitement turned into creating a plan b because the weather had it’s own plan.
Undeterred by the raindrops, they showed up to their engagement session with smiles on their faces. We started there session on Magnolia Avenue. Lined with majestic oak trees, this street is famed for its ethereal beauty and is listed as the most photographed street in St. Augustine. Rain couldn't stop these two—they stood under the trees, hand in hand, laughing and dancing with umbrellas like they were in a rom-com. The rain, instead of dampening their spirits, added a touch of magic to the moment.
We then headed over to the historic Markland House, our Plan B sanctuary. It had the perfect mix of outdoorsy vibes and cover—ideal for our impromptu rainy adventure. As much as we love cute umbrellas, we didnt want them in every photo. Im so glad we were able to come here, I absolutely love those photos.
We then made our way towards the Lightner Museum and Aviles Avenue, and guess what? The rain decided to cut us some slack. Umbrellas were stashed away, and it was time to let loose and eat cake… Yes, we sat down in the middle of St. Augustine to eat cake. Cake, carrot cake to be specific, is a big part of their love story so i thought it would be so cute for them to share a few bites.
This engagement session is proof that sometimes, the most unexpected moments create the most beautiful memories. Rain or shine, Stephanie and Corey sure know how to make a moment unforgettable! 🌧️✨
Stephanie + Corey, we are so excited to witness you two become husband + wife! You two are such an amazing couple and we feel lucky to be a part of your wedding day. I already know it’s going to be absolutely perfect!!
See you soon!!
xoxo,
Kristina + Jerico
