CALEB + ELIZABETH | SAVANNAH, GEORGIA ENGAGEMENT SESSION
If you didn’t already know, Jerico and I met in high school, Physics class in 2005. I was a junior and Jerico was a senior. He was the class clown and I was the nerd. He sat in the back of the class and I sat in the front. He would whisper my name causing me to turn around and of course then I would get in trouble by the teacher for “talking.” Anyways, I always thought we are lucky to have met each other while we were young and i love that we got married “young” (I was 22 and Jerico was 23).
Caleb + Elizabeth have a similar story except they were both 15 when they met and are getting married in 2 short weeks!!! Oh and, they are only 19!!! You guys, they will celebrate their 10th year anniversary before they are 30! How amazing is that!?!?! They literally get to spend the majority of their lives together, I think that is sooo special and honorable.
We got to know both Caleb and Liz over the past couple of years and their love for one another is so genuine and deep. I will say though, when I first met them, I totally thought they were too young to be talking about marriage BUUUUT I QUICKLY realized I was wrong. They seriously amazed me with the decisions they were making in their lives. Caleb completely gutted and renovated their first home in a matter of 6 months as he worked full time and was planning their wedding. Another thing that really amazed me about this couple was their love for God. They are both involved with their church and never miss a service and not because their parents make them but because they WANT to be there. They serve together, they go on mission trips together, they worship together. They are growing up together in a godly way. In the way that marriage is supposed to look like. Both are growing individually while cheering the other one on. There is no jealousy or selfishness. They are in love and ready to do life together.
Speaking of going on mission trips together, Caleb actually proposed to Liz on one of the last days of a mission trip they went on together last summer to St. Maarten. The whole week they were on the island, they barely saw each other. Caleb waited until their last day on the island since that was their “free day.” Caleb told Liz to dress nice because he wanted to take some pictures of her on the beach (this was totally normal since caleb is a photographer). In the middle of the photoshoot, he got down on one knee and proposed to Liz. The funny thing is, Liz thought he was joking. But once she realized this was the real thing, she started to cry and of course, said YES! Don’t worry, Caleb asked one of his friends to snap some pictures of the actual proposal as well!!
Caleb + Liz decided to do their engagement session in the historic Savannah, Georgia. Since Caleb is a photographer, he wanted his engagement session to be at a location he hasn’t shot at, he wanted it to be something completely different. What a great and beautiful decision that was!
We are freaking excited to see this young man commit himself to the girl of his dreams. I know for a fact that I will cry at your wedding and you know what, I’m 100% okay with that! I can’t believe it’s only 2 weeks out!!! Thank you both for trusting us with your wedding day memories! See you both very soon! xoxo
