KRISTYNA + ALEX | PHILADELPHIA ENGAGEMENT SESSION| PHILADELPHIA, PA

As a wedding photographer, every wedding is unique and special. However, there's a certain level of excitement that comes with being chosen to photograph the wedding of a family member of one of your past couples. That's exactly how we met Kristyna. We photographed her brothers wedding 2 years ago and had the privilege of meeting her and her then boyfriend, Alex, at his wedding.

One of our favorite things to do prior to the wedding day is an engagement session. An engagement session allows us to get to know the couple a little better as well as get them comfortable in front of us and the cameras. Kristyna really wanted to showcase where they created a life together and that meant we had the pleasure of visiting Kristyna + Alex in their beautiful city of Philadelphia for their engagement session.

Philadelphia has so much to offer in terms of locations for an engagement session. Kristyna really wanted their engagement session to feel like a date night instead of going to common spots for engagement session.

We were shocked when Kristyna + Alex arrived… we were shocked because they WALKED to the Rodin Museum. To us Floridians, that’s something that never happens. haha but for them, that was totally normal!

The Rodin Museum is gorgeous… and we didn’t even go IN the museum. We started in a small courtyard tucked away in the back of the museum. The area was quiet and intimate, and provided the perfect setting for some truly beautiful photos. Check out Kristyna’s beautiful smile!!! I absolutely loved this location. It offered so many options!

From there, we made our way to colonial era brick buildings and charming cobblestone streets. As we were walking around, Kristyna remembered seeing an alley that had twinkly lights YEAR ROUND. We walked around a block or two and found it! It was totally worth it!! So romantic! Mind you, this session was in May! (the street is called Addison Street if you want to check it out)

We then finished off their engagement session by catching a gorgeous sunset at The Art Museum/ Water Works. While most people think “Rocky Stairs” when they hear the Art Museum, Kristyna and Alex really wanted to capture the stunning Philadelphia skyline from the back of the Art Museum. They often walk here to catch the beautiful sunsets.

Kristyna + Alex, thank you again for showing us around your beautiful city, we had such a great time with you. You two are such a great couple, you made our jobs easy! We cannot wait to see and celebrate you!! It’s going to be absolutely perfect!
