Meredith + Michael | St. Augustine & Vilano Beach | Engagement Session

Picture this: It's December 2019, just a week before Christmas. She's out with her girlfriends, and he's at a work Christmas party. And then, bam! Destiny plays its cards, and Meredith + Michael end up at the same place at the same time. She's at the bar, trying to get a drink, and there he is at the other end. She flashes a smile, and he walks over and gets her a drink. “We began talking and before we knew it the bar was closing down.”

From the get-go, it was like they'd known each other forever. Their conversations were just easy. Their journey began a few months before the whole COVID-19 chaos, a time when everything was up in the air. In mid-March, he had to head out to be with his parents, and she couldn't believe how much she missed a guy she'd only known for a few months. That's when it hit her – this was something special.

Fast forward to May, Michael had a surprise up his sleeve. He whisked her away to Tulum, a place Meredith always wanted to visit. Little did she know that this trip would change their lives. On their very first afternoon in Tulum, they planned to take a beach walk and soak in the sights. But here's where it gets crazy – as soon as she stepped onto the patio, he took her hands, got down on one knee, and popped the question. She was completely caught off guard; it all happened so fast. They spent hours savoring the moment and then they called up family and friends to share the incredible news.

The couple chose to have a destination wedding in St. Augustine, Florida. They fell head over heels for the Lightner Museum in St. Augustine, and it's not hard to see why. This place is an embodiment of history and charm, nestled right in the heart of this enchanting city. The museum's architecture is a testament to ornate beauty, and the courtyard is like a scene from a fairytale.The elegant ballrooms and the overall timeless beauty of the place made it the absolute perfect spot for their dream wedding. Seriously, it's a jaw-dropper!

When I started to chat with Meredith and Michael about their engagement session, they expressed their desire to blend the exquisite architecture of St. Augustine with their profound love for the beach. The beach is their happy place. We started their engagement session at their wedding venue, The Lightner Museum. We walked through the charming and picturesque cobblestone alleys of historic St. Augustine. We then made our way to Vilano beach, just in time for the sunset.We had such a great time with them. They laughed, kissed, and shared sweet hugs – we loved seeing them just being themselves, you know?

Meredith and Michael, we can't wait to be there with you as you become a married couple (marriage is amazing!!!) Your happiness means the world to us, and we're absolutely thrilled for the incredible day ahead. It's going to be the best ever!
