Love has a funny way of sneaking up on us when we least expect it. Sometimes, it starts with a chance encounter that evolves into a meaningful friendship. Today, we have the pleasure of sharing an incredible story about Logan and Bert, who met each other at Florida State University (FSU) and spent three remarkable years as friends before discovering a love that would change their lives forever.
Logan + Bert’s extraordinary journey, from acquaintances at FSU to soulmates ready to walk down the aisle, is a true testament to the magic of friendship and the beauty of love. They nurtured their connection, allowing it to grow naturally over the years until it blossomed into something truly remarkable. Their story serves as a reminder that love can be found in unexpected places and that sometimes, the best things in life are worth waiting for.
There is something undeniably romantic about a proposal. It's a moment filled with anticipation, nerves, and a whole lot of love. Bert’s proposal story took place against the backdrop of a picturesque sunset, aboard a sailboat, in the charming city of St. Augustine, Florida. Does it get better than that?!?
Bert had meticulously planned the entire evening, knowing that he wanted it to be a night to remember. After dinner, hand in hand, they decided to take a leisurely stroll along the water's edge. As Logan + Bert walked along, their destination became clear – a marina where a sailboat awaited them. They boarded the sailboat for a private sunset cruise.
As the sailboat reached Hospital Creek, a place known for its captivating views and the presence of a cross, Bert knew it was the perfect spot to propose. He dropped down to one knee in front of the cross, and with a heart overflowing with love, he asked Logan to be his partner for life.
As Logan and Bert planned their engagement session, they found themselves drawn to the idea of revisiting the very place where their journey towards forever began. Hospital Creek, with its scenic beauty and the meaningful cross that stood tall, held a special place in their hearts. It seemed only fitting to celebrate their love and capture their joyous moments in this special spot. We also took some pictures in front of their wedding venue, The Lightner Museum and even revisited the marina they took their sunset cruise from. It was special to be able to relive that day a little with them.
