Sara + Zac live on the “west coast” of Florida and had all their friends and family travel to St. Augustine, FL for their dream wedding at The Treasury on the Plaza . The Treasury originally opened in the 1920’s as a bank! The Treasury has preserved some of the details from the bank at the venue and the most popular one is the vault!
When I asked Sara + Zac why they chose to have their wedding at The Treasury, they said
“ because it’s so different from any other venue we’ve ever seen! THE BAR IS IN A BANK VAULT! And we want everyone to feel fancy”
And let me tell you, everyone looked FLAWLESS, especially the couple + their wedding party. Go ahead, scroll down to check them all out. The bride ROCKED a sexy off-the-shoulder mermaid wedding gown with a semi-transparent corset bodice, open back, and a long tulle train by Milla by Lorenzo Rossi. The Groom stood out with an all black tux with a white bow tie while his groomsmen had an emerald bow tie that matched the bridesmaid dresses perfectly.
Sara + Zac’s wedding at The Treasury on the Plaza was filled with so many beautiful details from the venue’s towering ceilings, ornate columns, and soft cream color palette, to the bride’s stunning dress, to the glamorous decor that included touches of emerald with all white florals but the most beautiful thing was seeing their families come together to celebrate the couple.
Both the bride and groom have parents that have remarried and they were all there for the couple! The bride wanted her mom, her step mom and her soon to be mother in law to be fully involved in the wedding day. The 3 of them even walked down the aisle together at the ceremony! And at the end of the night, the 3 of them hugged as they danced and sang “ we are family” It was so refreshing to see parents so happy for their kids.
We’ve all heard of a unity ceremony at weddings… pouring sand + lighting a candle are a few that immediately come to mind. But Sara + Zac decided to do something that made sense to them… they shared a shot! If you take any wedding planning advice from me, let it be this: DO WHAT MAKES SENSE TO YOU AS A COUPLE. It is YOUR wedding day. You dont want to have any regrets.
