WENDEL + DIANA WEDDING| JACKSONVILLE MAIN LIBRARY| JACKSONVILLE, FLORIDA

I can’t even! You’ve heard people say that right? That phrase explains exactly how we currently feel. I can’t even believe that this is our life! We get to go to weddings as a job! This past weekend was one for the books! Two weddings, one weekend, one couple! This blog is Part 2 of Wendel + Diana’s wedding weekend, their traditional white dress “American” wedding at the Jacksonville Main Library in Downtown, Jacksonville, Florida. If you haven’t read about Part 1, their vibrant Cambodian wedding, click here. At the end of their Cambodian wedding, we were all joking that they were only half married.

A wedding at the library?!? You might think. You’d be surprised how beautiful the library is, if you’ve never been! Wendel + Diana are both extremely smart, educated, and both love to travel. The Library was a perfect match for them. Their favorite room in the Library was actually where we did their first look, it’s called “The map room” okay maybe thats not really whats its called but what we called it. The walls are covered in beautiful old maps of Florida (I think its only Florida, but could be wrong).

Diana and Wendel were surrounded by amazing friends and family all weekend long. Their bridal party consisted of friends and family (2 brothers, a sister, a brother in law and cousins) and let me tell you, they were ON IT! They had everything covered and were right next to the bride and groom both days! From the guys bringing speakers and Publix subs for before the wedding to the ladies checking Diana’s makeup and holding her veil, the darn thing kept flying away! I appreciate all the time you dedicated to serving Diana + Wendel! You all are AWESOME!

One of the sweetest moments of their wedding was watching Diana’s mom walk her down the aisle. And to top that off, Diana’s mom didn’t feel comfortable walking down the giant beautiful staircase with heels on so Diana flipped off her heels and walked down barefoot to ensure her mom felt safe!!! The bond that Diana and her mom have is truly special. The way Diana’s mom watched D+W was so gratifying. Her smile never left her face. She smiled, she cried, she laughed and she cried again. You could tell she was proud of her little girl.

Having an outdoor reception in Florida isn’t very common because of how unpredictable the weather is. Diana and Wendel really wanted the ambient outdoor reception and not only did the rain hold out but their wedding night had the coolest weather yet! It got down to 58 and for us Floridans, that’s chilly. But leave it to mom to think of everything, she gifted everyone a scarf as a a favor! How perfect!

Three words that describe their wedding are: Family, Friends + Food. That third one is kinda unexpected, huh? D+W are both big foodies so naturally, they had a 10, TEN, course meal served at their wedding! Stuffed crab shells, shrimp, steak, duck, just to name a few. They even had Kilwins set up an ice-cream bar! Did you know that Kilwins catered? I didn’t know Kilwins catered until Diana told me they would have an ice-cream bar . Such a cool feature to a wedding! Talk about #foodgoals

And then there was a part of the night that NO ONE will EVER forget: Wendel’s surprise dance prior to the garter removal! OH. EM. GEE!!! What an epic dance, it had everyone smiling and cheering him on!

The night ended with a double exit. They had both sparklers and bubbles! I’ve never seen that before and now I’m in love! What an amazing weekend!

Diana and Wendel, we are sincerely grateful for your trust in us! We are glad we got to witness you get half married and then fully married! I loved watching you both smile and laugh during both of your wedding days. I know you were tired but you never once complained! Your happiness was radiating and infectious, every time I looked at you, I immediately smiled. As I look through your images, I continue to smile. I hope you both never stop smiling when reminiscing about your lovely weddings. We wish you many, MANY years of happiness and adventures!

These are the amazing vendors that made their day unforgettable, thank you all!
