Emily + Stephen Engagement | Downtown Jacksonville, Florida

If you didn't already know, Jerico + I live in Jacksonville, Florida. And if you are from Jax, you know exactly what DTWD means and no-one loves that phrase more than Emily + Stephen! Talk about being a die hard fan, Stephen even has The Jacksonville Jaguar tattooed, see if you can find it! 

Jerico has actually known Emily since high school and it's safe to say that when Emily announced her engagement, it came as quite a shock. Emily will tell you herself, she didn't think she would ever get married. Now, 6 (almost 7 this winter) years later, they share a home, two dogs, many miles of travel, way too many movies, books and records and all kinds of stories of fun times with their friends.

Emily and Stephen had mutual friends and it took some time for them to actually meet. Once they met, they both knew this was different but at that time Emily had promised herself to focus on herself and not date. This was the only way she knew her emotions wouldn't get carried away. That is until Stephen decided to tell Emily that he like- liked her as they were sitting at a bar talking about Star Wars and Emily's reaction was "PROVE IT!" and then she WALKED AWAY! You go girl (insert hair flip). As girl boss as that was, this next part is my favorite part... A few minutes later, Chelsea, a mutual friend, handed Emily a note on yellow lined notebook paper that said in red marker, "do you like me? Check yes or no." AWWWW! Isn't that just so.... Jim and Pam!?!

Once it was time to decide on their engagement location, I couldn't think of anything better than doing it right in the heart of Jacksonville- downtown! We started the session at a few murals downtown, then we went to the Jaguar Stadium, which was probably Stephens favorite, and finished off on a garage rooftop with views of the iconic "blue bridge" in the background. It was definitely a DTWD engagement session.

Emily and Stephen, we cant wait to witness you two say your vows and make the biggest commitment of your lives in front of your family and closest friends. Im excited to see how your love for all things halloween and star wars will be incorporated into your day. I just KNOW it's going to be an EPIC wedding! Countdown is on!
