“I promise to move, move cars, move furniture, move careers, move kids, move pets, move away from family and friends, to the next adventure that the military takes us.
I promise to make friends at each duty stations, to be patient each day, especially when plans change (YESSS!) and to keep trying when times get rough.
I promise to wait. Wait for orders, wait for you to be home after long work days, wait for you during deployments, wait for phone calls or texts and to wait for our forever home.”
Time stood still as Bailey + Colton vowed to be with together no matter where they are (the navy life) in front of their closest friends and family at River City Brewing Company. Bailey’s personal vows were beautiful and meaningful but when she surprised us all with these second set of vows as a military wife. Having been a military wife myself, I lost it. It was a deeper level of commitment that she was promising FULLY aware of the hardships that lay ahead.
Bailey + Colton knew they wanted their wedding to be intimate and have a nautical feel and with the help of Market 31, they went with a more romantic palette that was a bit more of a coastal feel, using a slate blue tone that Bailey had chosen for her bridesmaids dresses throughout the decor transitioning away from the traditional navy blue nautical.
Colton wore his navy whites, making quite the dashing groom (very Officer and a Gentleman!) while Bailey was a breathtaking bride in a beautiful wedding gown and a cathedral veil. She looked absolutely perfect.
From a sweet first look, to unforgettable vows, this wedding was pure romance and elegance.
I asked Gabrielle with Market31 Events to describe the decor they curated for Bailey + Colton, “The reception was styled with hand blown buoys, coastal lanterns, candle-scaping and layers of textures and tone of coastal blues. Shying away from blooms, greenery brought the guests’ tables to life.
After being directed by a large mirrored seating chart, handcrafted watercolored cards with silver numeric embossing, guided guests to their assigned tables.
On delicate handmade deckle edged paper, Hillary (our signage guru) created cohesive watercolored place cards that she then personalized for each guest with grey dip pen calligraphy. With meal choices indicated on the backside of each, these beautiful cards were created to be equally functional as they were a beautiful touch to the table-scape.”
Bailey and Colton, I know your marriage will last the test of time. You started your marriage off with promises to never give up and never leave each others side. I pray that no matter what happens or where you are stationed, you make the best of every situation and continue to love and support each other. I am so excited to watch you both flourish in your careers and cant wait to see what the future holds for you. ALSOOO, cant wait to see pictures of your new pup!!!
