Jordan + Hunter Engagement Session| St. Augutine, Florida + Vilano Beach
Hi friends, im excited to share another great lovestory with you.Their journey from meeting on Hinge to saying "I do" has been filled with unexpected twists, heartfelt gestures, and an undeniable connection that left us in awe.
Jordan and Hunter's love story began in the midst of a global pandemic, where physical distancing became the norm. Despite the challenges, they found a connection through a modern-day matchmaker: Hinge. Their initial interactions were through virtual means, with FaceTime dates and marathon-length phone calls filling the void left by the inability to meet in person due to quarantine restrictions. (Jordan found herself quarantined for 60 days!) Little did she know, this period would bring her closer to Hunter in ways she never imagined. Initially very skeptical, Hunter thought Jordan might be "cat-fishing" him out of boredom. (omg!!!) But after their first two marathon phone conversations lasting 8 hours each, followed by another lasting 7 hours, he was hooked.
Hunter's thoughtful surprises quickly won Jordan over. From delivering her favorite peanut butter ice cream to preparing a three-course meal paired with her favorite wine, he showed her that not even quarantine could dampen his affection. Yall, Hunter would drop off these things at her door and then would facetime her so that they could have a date!! how freaking sweet is that!!
When Jordan finally received her first negative covid result, Hunter celebrated by cooking her a home-cooked meal, complete with her favorite pot roast and homemade brownies. But it wasn't just the food that melted her heart; it was Hunter's willingness to roll up his sleeves and fix things around her apartment, showing her his handyman skills and his caring nature. Jordan snuck a picture that night of Hunter fixing her laundry room door and sent it to her mom and best friend. " I think I'm on my last first date..." awwwww
As their relationship blossomed, Hunter continued to sweep Jordan off her feet with his kindness and selflessness. He seamlessly integrated her into his world, and together, they just made sense. Their love was natural and effortless, making it easy to envision a lifetime together.
Their engagement was a moment straight out of a fairy tale. During a magical vacation in Asheville, North Carolina, Hunter surprised Jordan with a proposal at the Biltmore Estate, a place she had always dreamed of visiting. With the entire estate illuminated in Christmas lights, Hunter dropped to one knee, surrounded by the festive atmosphere they both adored. The surprise continued as they headed to dinner, where their families and closest friends awaited them in a private dining room, traveling from different states to share in their joy.
Throughout their journey, Jordan and Hunter shared a love for simple pleasures like beach outings, good food, and fishing. What initially attracted Hunter was Jordan's infectious smile, her goofy nature, and the way she makes him feel unconditionally loved that he cherishes the most. With her, he can be himself entirely, relishing in the joy of simply being together.
We had the privilege of capturing their love story during their engagement session in St. Augustine, Florida. From the historic streets to the serene shores of Vilano Beach, Jordan and Hunter's love shone brightly. Hunter twirled Jordan with every chance he got, and they walked all over downtown St. Augustine, hand in hand with the biggest smiles on their faces. We kicked things off on Aviles Ave, the oldest street in America, which exudes a charming and historic vibe that perfectly encapsulates the essence of St. Augustine.
From there, we ventured towards the Governor's House, taking in the historic landmarks and quaint architecture along the way. The grandeur of the Lightner Museum provided a stunning backdrop for their photos, hinting at the elegance and beauty that would characterize their upcoming wedding day.
But the highlight of the session came as we made our way to Vilano Beach to catch the sunset. Starting off on the soft sands, Jordan and Hunter shared tender moments against the backdrop of the ocean. However, their adventurous spirits couldn't resist the allure of the ocean, and before we knew it, they were getting into the water, laughing and splashing as the waves crashed around them. Their energy was contagious. We found ourselves caught up in the joy and excitement of the moment. After the session was over, we lingered, chatting and laughing with this wonderful couple, reluctant to say goodbye.
