As wedding photographers, we have the privilege of witnessing so many beautiful love stories, but Jaimie and Tanner’s story truly stands out. Their journey together has been full of laughter, joy, and endless love, and we’re so excited to capture the next chapter as they say “I do” this weekend. But before we dive into the wedding celebration, we wanted to take a moment to share their sweet love story with you all.
Jaimie and Tanner’s love story is proof that fate brings people together at just the right time. Despite growing up in the same town and even attending the same schools, their paths didn’t truly cross until after college. From the moment they met, their connection was effortless! And guess what? Their moms have been friends for years! You just know they’re over the moon that this is happening!
From the very first night they met, it was clear there was a spark. Jaimie and Tanner hit it off right away, despite not having spoken much before that night. Their shared interests and natural chemistry made their first date (which lasted six hours) fly by, and it’s no wonder they’ve been inseparable ever since. Their story is proof that sometimes, the best connections happen when you least expect them.
Tanner’s proposal to Jaimie was nothing short of magical. In August 2023, while Jaimie was in North Carolina completing her dietetic internship, Tanner had a surprise up his sleeve. He flew her down to their hometown for a weekend getaway. Initially, he had planned to propose in November, but once he had the ring, he couldn’t wait any longer!
Tanner enlisted the help of their friends to set up a beautiful proposal spot on a dock in their neighborhood, with a “Marry Me” sign glowing with lights and rose petals scattered all around. The plan was to take Jaimie to see some houses they had been looking at, but when they drove through the neighborhood, Tanner insisted they take a detour. As they approached the dock, Jaimie thought she was walking into someone else’s proposal! She had no idea this was her moment. And then, Tanner dropped to one knee and asked her to be his forever. It was a perfect, unforgettable surprise.
Jaimie and Tanner have created a life full of fun and adventure. Whether they’re tossing a ball around with their dog Crosby, attending sporting events (a big part of Tanner’s life as a huge sports fan), or grabbing drinks with friends on the weekends, they know how to enjoy the little things together. Their connection shines brightest in the simple moments, and it’s easy to see how their love continues to grow with each passing day.
I will never forget Jaimie and Tanner’s engagement session in St. Augustine. We spent time strolling through Magnolia Avenue and the charming streets of historic St. Augustine, capturing their love against the backdrop of cobblestone streets and beautiful architecture. Magnolia Avenue, with its enchanting trees and soft light filtering through the leaves, was the perfect setting for such a special moment. The weather, however, had other plans. It rained the entire session! But instead of letting it get them down, Jaimie and Tanner embraced it. They were giggling, laughing, hugging, and kissing through the drizzle—never once letting the rain dampen their spirits. In fact, when we historic St. Augustine, they even braved the mist without their umbrellas, letting their love shine through despite the weather. Their joy was infectious, and we had so much fun capturing their love in those precious moments.
Jaimie and Tanner are truly one of a kind, showing that nothing—not even rain— cant stop them from enjoying the moment + having fun!
As we prepare to capture their wedding day, we know it’s going to be just as beautiful and filled with laughter as every other moment they’ve shared. Jaimie and Tanner are the kind of couple that reminds us of what love is all about—finding joy in the little things, supporting each other through every twist and turn, and always making each other smile.
