Sabrina + Briel| St. Augustine Engagement Session
You know that saying "Everything happens for a reason"? Well, it pretty much sums up Sabrina + Briel’s lovestory perfectly. They were both students at Stetson University, seeing each other around but never really chatting. Their only real interaction was during those intense intramural sports games between their sororities. Then came Briel's struggle with general chemistry. She decided to take some tutoring sessions for help. But in that first session, she found herself alone. That's when Sabrina, the "fast zeta girl" from intramurals, came over and invited her to join their group. And just like that, they became study buddies. Briel's grades shot up because, let's face it, she just wanted to be around Sabrina.
“When I first met Sabrina she was the smartest person in our chemistry class which immediately caught my attention. I also loved making her laugh because her laugh is infectious.”- Briel
They went from study partners to best friends in no time.
“She became my best friend first and was someone who understood and listened to my wants, needs, and desires. I loved how she was -- and still is -- unapologetically herself.”- Sabrina
They tackled their degrees, survived a pandemic, moved around a bit, and even added two furbabies, Kylo and Obi, to their family. Along the way, they met some incredible people and they’re excited to share and celebrate their love with everyone.
I asked both of them what they loved most about the other person and heres what they had to say
“I love that she is very determined in all aspects of her life. She is also the kindest person I have ever met and can make friends with a wall if she wanted to. She makes me a better person everyday and is always pushing me to be the best version of myself. She is my best friend and I cannot imagine going through life with out her.” - Briel

Let's take a trip down memory lane to a beautiful wedding we had the pleasure of capturing in 2022 ( shoutout to Pam). It was a joyous occasion filled with love, laughter, and unforgettable moments. Among the bridal party was Sabrina, a radiant bridesmaid who caught our attention with her warmth and contagious smile. Little did we know, our paths would cross again in the most unexpected yet delightful way.
Imagine our excitement when Sabrina emailed us, expressing her desire for us to photograph her own wedding. It was a moment filled with gratitude and honor, knowing that our work had left such a positive impression on her from her previous experience. For us, there's no greater compliment than when a bridesmaid becomes a bride and chooses us to document their special day. It's a testament to the trust and connection we build with each couple, and it reaffirms our passion for capturing love stories that last a lifetime.
From the moment we met Sabrina + Briel in person, it was evident that Sabrina and Briel share a bond that radiates joy and authenticity. As we wandered through the cobblestone alleys, laughter filled the air, echoing the infectious joy these two best friends bring to every moment.
Walking around St. Augustine with these two was an absolute blast. They have a way of making everything fun and effortless.As photographers, capturing the genuine connection between Sabrina and Briel was a delight. We kicked off their session strolling through the picturesque cobblestone alleys of historic St. Augustine, eagerly awaiting the magic of the Nights of Lights. As soon as the lights flickered on, the entire city transformed into a twinkling wonderland.
Sabrina + Briel effortlessly showcased their true selves, making our job feel more like capturing a cherished memory than a formal photo shoot. It was as if we were joining them on a double date, exploring the historic landmarks of St. Augustine together. We gave them a little tour of St. Augustine, making stops at iconic spots like The Lightner Museum and Flagler College. Then, we took a leisurely stroll over to the Bay before wrapping up their engagement session in the Plaza, surrounded by trees adorned with shimmering lights. It was pure magic. Sabrina and Briel's love story is a testament to the beauty of genuine connection and the magic found in simply being yourself.
Sabrina and Briel, we're beyond thrilled for your wedding this weekend and can't wait to witness you both experiencing your best day ever—it's going to be legen-wait-for-it-DARY!! ( wait, are you guys even old enough to know that reference hahaha)
