J + K = WOJ |Our Style|
I don't know if you've noticed but photographers have a style. There are so many different kinds of styles out there. Some photographers shoot "light & airy" and some "dark & moody". Some choose to use only natural light, some insist on flash for a more dramatic look or only do indoor studio photography. Some choose classic poses, some are more artistic, some choose candid, and some chose a more photo journalistic stye. All of these are great and that's exactly why we can't pick just one!!!
Our clients dictate our style because they are our main focus. Our goal is for our pictures to tell YOUR unique story.
Our style is to capture REAL moments. And you know what? Those real moments sometimes happen in really bad lighting, blah backgrounds, bad composition & sometimes have awkward hand placement or squished noses. And we're TOTALLY okay with that! We believe the beauty of the picture is the love being expressed, not the details. We know that you will look at that picture and remember exactly what he said to you or exactly how she made you feel or you'll both remember what was said and will be able to laugh about it all over again! Our goal is that EVERY time you look at your wedding pictures you re-live that day: those feelings of excitement & nervousness, the pure love you had for one another, and the joy of being surrounded my all your friends & family.
Our style is to have F U N. We like to think of engagement shoots more life double dates that are documented. We like to get to know our clients and do our best to capture THEIR essence. If you are not a couple that typically gives piggy back rides, we won't make you! We want to capture your unique relationship; incorporate inside jokes, hand shakes, whispers, and dance moves. We love to set a scene, step back and capture candid moments. But then we also pose you to ensure we get that portrait picture for your parents & grandparents.
We do prefer natural light. We like to find natural light reflectors like building walls, sand & rocks. Our favorite times of the day to shoot are around sunrise & sunset. The lighting right before sunset is actually called "Golden Hour" because it's just magical.
But we also know how to manipulate flash to get our desired look. Our favorite time to pull out the flash is on the dance floor! We have a few tricks we incorporate for specific shots.
Getting to know our couples is very important to us. We love creating friends for life!
M A K E it a great day!
