Mike + Briana Kelly Wedding | Winterbourne Inn| Orange Park, Florida

Can I say something totally cliche? Weddings are SO. MUCH. F U N ! I’m being 100% honest. I absolutely love weddings. It ALWAYS amazes me how the bride and groom are able to incorporate so many little things into their wedding day that speak so much about them as individuals.  (To read how Mike + Briana met, catch up on their engagement blog here.)

Mike + Briana’s wedding was a perfect example of all the little ways a wedding can display the couple’s personalities in a beautiful and seamless way. My top 2 favorite aspects of their wedding have to do with both of their dads. Let’s keep it traditional and say ladies first. Briana has a great relationship with her dad and I know you all think I’m going to talk about the super sweet “I can’t talk cause I’ll cry” first look she had with her dad. As sweet as it was, it wasn’t the most memorable moment for me. For me, it was her dad’s speech right before they had their father daughter dance. He said (while holding back the tears a much as possible), “ 20 years ago, I heard the song “Butterfly Kisses” for the first time and I KNEW from that very moment I would one day get to dance to that song with my daughter.” Guys, I’m tearing up just remembering this moment. He went on to say, “But what I didn’t realize was how hard it would be!” [tissue break]. All the hankies were out at this point. Oh yeah! They had custom monogrammed handkerchiefs  for all of their immediate and extended family members, for you know, “just in case”. Let me tell ya, every single one of those hankies was used at this point!

My other most memorable part of Mike + Briana’s wedding is the fact that Mike’s dad was his best man! Talk about honoring your parents! Before the ceremony, Mike’s dad said to me, “You know, you’d think I’d have it together, I had 30 years to prepare myself for this day,” as he smiled and wiped away a tear. Naturally, I cried again. During the ceremony, Mike’s dad never once looked away from his son and now, daughter.. The entire ceremony, his eyes were locked on his kids!

Oh! And as if having your dad as your best man wasn’t special enough, the other 3 groomsmen he had were all married AND Mike was a groomsman in ALL of their weddings! What a cool bond these guys have! I don’t think many people can say that!

Briana, you looked absolutely stunning! To say you were glowing is an understatement! I’m kind of sad your wedding is “over” but totally smiling because it happened!! I actually can’t stop smiling because of how perfect your wedding was. From your beautiful dress to the colors to the weather to the awesome bubble exit (I’ve never seen so many bubbles in my life!). Literally, EVERYTHING was absolutely PERFECT. I hope you all smile EVERY time you look through these pictures. You both are such great people and together you make an AMAZING couple! I pray you two never take for granted the fact that you have each other.

I want to give a HUGE thank you to Mr. Brian and Mrs. Karen (Briana’s parents). You both made us feel so welcome and we really felt like a part of your beautiful family! Thank you for having us and trusting us with your little girl’s big day! And Mr. Kelly, you raised a fine young man! I know you’re proud of him, I could see it in your eyes.

We loved getting to know you both and are blessed to call you our friends! I can’t wait to see you both again! You know, the “honeymoon phase” doesnt have to be a phase! Continue to pursue one another and never stop making each other smile! love you lots! xoxo Kristina + Jerico.

You totally stop and smiled at the picture of her grandparents kissing, didnt ya?! Arnt they the cutest?!?
