You might have heard people talk about or seen them on Facebook, SpaceBase is a brand new (only been open a month now) indoor play area & trampolines. The play area is designed for kids who are 4 feet and shorter! The trampolines, however, does not have an age or height limit.

This place is absolutely perfect for the little kids (ages 1-5). The play area is completely padded and is designed for crawlers & toddlers or kids under 4 feet tall. Your little one will not get stepped on and all of the colors keep your kids fascinated and intrigued. I've never seen anything like it before!

The trampoline area is pretty cool as well. They have a huge trampoline area but it's divided into squares so that kids dont bump into each other or cause each other to fall. genius, right?! They also have 2 basketball hoops with trampolines in front of them so you can jump and attempt to dunk the ball. this area was a real hit with boys in the 10-15 years old range. then, they also have a trampoline in front of a Giant air bag. so it's basically like a foam pit but instead of it being foam (which gets sweat on it, people loose things from their pockets, its really hard for the kids to get out of). its basically a giant airbag. its really hard to explain but you can see it in the pictures and video at the end.

My son Kai,  Celebrated his 5th birthday there this past weekend. We arrived at 1:00 on a Sunday. There were only about 15 kids when we first arrived and it stayed like that for a good hour. then, a birthday party began so it filled up to it's capacity (50 kids) and within the hour, it died back down to 15-20 kids. there was plenty of room for all kids to play without trampling each other over.

My son loved it so much that after being at space base for 3 hours, kai still did not want to leave.  at one point, he said his feet were tired but he still didn't want to leave. I asked the 4 kids that came with us, all different ages, what their favorite part was and here are their responses:

5 year old boy-"ALL OF IT!" But then i asked him to be more specific and he said "the play area, i loved the flying balloons". So the flying balloons is an area that is enclosed with velcro and has 4 fans at the top blowing huge balloons. I saw kids try to catch the balloons, i saw some that were playing "volleyball" and some that just stood in there and let the balloons fly all around them. Guys, he slept that night from 9 pm to 10:30 am!!! he never sleeps passed 8am! he wore himself out!

a 6 year old girl- She too said everything was her favorite but then said " i loved jumping from square to square & playing ninja"

my 9 year old brother's favorite area was the "balloon blaster". sorry, i don't know what its actually called. He loved it in there. I heard them playing a game, someone would shout out a color and everyone would have to catch that color balloon. Then i saw him just karate chopping the balloons. hahaha. Plus, its a good place to cool down a little. the fans create a nice breeze when you're all sweaty from jumping around. The video has footage from this area to give you a better understanding.

When i first walked in, i was a little concerned that my 12 year old sister wouldn't have fun here. But she had a blast on the trampolines. She too, stayed and played the entire 3 hours.

And for you adults, they have a small cafe that has drinks, snacks, and coffee for purchase. there are different areas where parents can sit and watch their kids. They also have picnic tables in the lounge for you to take a break and have a snack. You can also order a pizza (large pizza is $14.00) and other food. they also have bean bags and couches to relax on, if needed. Parents are allowed in the play area with their children, but must be barefoot or in socks. however, Adults can not go up the stairs or down the main slide in the play area due to weight restrictions.

The staff was very friendly. There were quite a few staff members all over, ensuring child safety. The entire facility (including bathrooms) was clean, organized and surprisingly, it wasn't too loud. They had, what sounded like kidz bop on, which was fun to sing along to.

i know what you're all wondering, how much does this cost?
